Some days hum with a particular kind of energy. Gabriele and Zai’s Toronto city wedding was one of them.
It began softer, in the quiet, golden hours before the ceremony at Junto Studio. There’s a tenderness to that part of a day that I always love. The anticipation before anything has happened, the small rituals, the people closest to you gathered in close. You can feel the love in the room long before anyone says a word.
The ceremony itself held all of that warmth. Two people so clearly themselves, so clearly at ease with each other, making their promises in a space that felt intimate and entirely theirs. And then the day opened up.
What stayed with me most was the joy. Not the polished, posed kind, but the real thing. Laughter that came easily. Movement through the city, the streets warm with sun, the whole world feeling like it had cleared a path for them. This is what I love about a wedding in the heart of the city. It lets the day breathe and move, and it makes the couple the brightest thing on every block.
By evening, everything softened into candlelight. Dinner at Koukla, a long table, glasses raised, faces glowing in the warm low light. The kind of reception where no one is in a hurry to leave. Where the speeches land, the tears come easily, and the room feels full in a way that has nothing to do with how many people are in it.
That’s the thing about a day like this. The setting matters, but the feeling matters more. And the feeling here was unmistakable. Two people who found each other, surrounded by everyone who loves them, fully present for all of it.
“When we first opened the gallery, we were honestly floored. The quality, artistry, and vision in every frame left us speechless.”
Iris captured the emotion of our day so perfectly, and the way she even went above and beyond to record our vows in that creative style, meant so much to us. Every detail felt so intentional and full of love. We could feel the care poured into each photo, and it’s a gift we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives.
