Bri and Lukas’s Acquafarina wedding felt like stepping into something already in motion.
The way they moved was easy, certain, completely in sync. As if nothing needed to be added, only witnessed. From the first frame, I wasn’t directing a celebration so much as following one already underway, quietly making sure none of it slipped past.
Acquafarina is intimate, and that’s the whole charm of it. A restaurant rather than a ballroom, where everyone is close enough to hear the toasts land and see the glances pass. There’s nowhere to hide in a room like that, and they didn’t try to. The closeness did the work a grander space never could.
There was a richness to the day. Deep reds, soft light, small moments tucked between everything louder. Even the details carried weight, though never staged. Just an extension of who they are. The flowers, the table, the touches Bri and Lukas chose. None of it asked for attention, and all of it earned a frame.
This is the kind of day that doesn’t try to be anything else. Full, present, entirely their own. The kind where the photographs feel less like documentation and more like memory. They moved through all of it with the same ease, never pulled in too many directions, never performing for the camera.
This is what I hope to capture every time: a celebration that feels like the couple at the center of it, anchored in something real. Bri and Lukas’s Acquafarina wedding was easy to witness and impossible to forget.
